By definition, a predator is a creature that hunts and preys on others to sustain itself. However in Felarya it's a term commonly used to design the giant hybrid creatures living in the wilderness that often prey on humanoids such as giant nagas, dridders, fairies, dryads, harpies etc...
interestingly enough the term is used even for specimens of those species who don't actually eat humans. For example the dryad Cypress is a known protector of humans, yet she would still be referred to as a "predator" like the rest of her kin.
