Personnal vore preferences
From Felarya
WARNING it is advised that you read what follows only if you are into vore yourself. Otherwise you will probably find it weird. ^^;
I primarily like giantess vore and giant animal vore if the animal is non-sentient (for instance anthropomorphic characters don't work at all for me).
What I personally prefer in vore is a mix of several things. The most common one is the feeling of anticipation and inevitability of the situation versus the fear and the struggles of the prey to avoid it.
- Some example situations: Imagine a surface that is slowly titling back and when the angle becomes too great, the prey slides right into the maw of the predator. Or consider a thread that is tied to the prey's ankle that the pred slowly slurps up like a spaghetti.
- Some example scene descriptions: The prey talks with the pred and slowly realizes what awaits them because of the path the conversation is taking, or because they hear an ominous growl from the belly of the pred. The prey tries to talk their way out while the pred just teases and plays along.
- Or it can be because of the very nature of the pred. My work revolves mostly around innocent and gentle preds which I find fascinating. I started drawing vore using fairies because I find their thinking very interesting: their vision of good and bad is foreign; they do things because they are curious or they find it fun. In the case of eating humans, they do it innocencetly, with no evil intent, because they find humans tasty and they find their struggles pleasant. So in this case what is inexorable would somehow be their logic.
The same goes with Crisis. She is not evil at all from a certain point of view, yet if she catches you, you are almost as good as dead. While you can try to argue, flatter, or bribe a "regular" cruel, sadistic pred that wants to eat you only because it will kill you, show their dominance over you, or whatever (a type of vore I don’t like at all by the way), with an innocent one this is almost impossible: she will eat you and enjoy you just because you are tasty!
I have always been interested by this opposition with cute, innocent but dangerous characters, and not only in vore. For example in anime I like a lot the type of cute innocent-looking girl that suddenly pulls a shotgun and several grenades out of nowhere right under your nose without ceasing smiling. ^^
In my vision of vore, being eaten is a fate that the prey must struggle to avoid at all cost. A willing, submissive (or worse: worshiping) prey basically kills any interest I have in that situation. Some voraphiles enjoy vore when it is all sweet, cuddly and harmless but not I... vore must remain fatal and the prey must do its best to avoid it.
The two most important moments for me in vore are:
- The swallowing: here the feeling of anticipation would be mostly built when the prey sees the throat ready to engulf them. The inexorability is when, despite their struggle, they slip in, are grabbed by the throat, and gulped down.
Like lots of voraphiles, I very much like visible bulges going down the throat as the last visible trace of the prey and indication that they are well en route to the stomach. Seeing the contented face of the pred at this very moment is also something fascinating. The bulge thing works especially well if it is seen by witnesses and potential future prey.
- The other important part is the digestion. This is the logical conclusion of the previous scene and it must be here to show what the prey was trying to avoid in the first place. However, while I like the inside point of view, I don't like seeing gory or painful details. Being dissolved by acids is something totally horrible and I prefer to keep it relatively soft, and the actual digestion being only suggested at from the outside, either by gurgling sounds, burps, cries of despair or comments made by the pred that let you imagine what is going on in there. The inexorability there is obviously that nature will follow its course and the stomach will digest its content, regardless of if the prey or pred wants it or not. And again, the anticipation is built if the digestion is witnessed by another potential prey. Really a lot of what I like in vore is built on this feeling of anticipation.
I also like the contrast between the struggling and terrified prey versus the smiling, happy, and contented predator who enjoys greatly this feeling in her belly. I prefer the process to be slow and I also like when the pred takes a nap/feels sleepy shortly after. I prefer female as preys, though males are ok as well.
Lastly, as a voraphile I am neither prey or predator, I am more of a spectator.
